One of our own

Phil's 1970 Monte Carlo, Family owned since new!

In 1986, Phil took on this 16 year old car for $100 and a 6 pack of beer to his Cousin!

She was originally a 350 SBC / 300 HP car and for years Phil drove it, never letting it go.  Until one day an opportunity of a lifetime came into the picture.  Phil had just acquired a Killer 582Cuin BBC!  A Dart block, Manley crank, Molnar rods and JE pistons all put together with ARP hardware, Slipped inside, a Comp Cams 248/254 .647 lift 114 Hydraulic Roller and a set of Dart 345cc heads set on top of this Screaming Piece!  With an Edelbrock Air Gap intake on top and a Proform 950 DP Carb She made an impressive 745+HP on pump gas!  Coupled behind is a Column shifted TH400 by FB Transmission and a "Mystery converter" from a friend.  Working its way to the back, the torque of this beast is channeled through a Chrome Moly Steel 1350 driveshaft back to a factory 12 Bolt housing.  Phil Gutted the 12 bolt  and now is running a Eaton Truetrac, Motive 3.73 gears and a Moser billet yoke.  Out back we have a sumped factory tank with a complete Aeromotive fuel system pumping all the GoGo juice needed to feed this beast.  To turn this baby over nothing but the best, a MSD Pro series starter.  But don't stop there when it comes to MSD Phil opted for the MSD Digital 6 Plus box in a SK EZKMSD Kit including a Billet Distributor and Blaster 2 coil and 8.5 Super Conductor wire set.  All Phil's suspension was redone with Energy Suspension bushings. Putting the power down to the street with a set of super sticky Hoosier 275/60R15 Drag radials.  The best part of this whole combo is...

It still has a bench seat!
