Digital 6A Ignition Box - Part #6201
MSD started with a clean slate and drew up plans for an all new housing. They kept the same footprint as the traditional 6A but lowered the profile for a sleek look. The wiring is all routed out one end of the unit through a sealed and locking connector. This eases installation and keeps your wiring looking neat and clean.
Inside the Digital 6A you’ll find a microprocessor that monitors and controls every spark. The circuits are updated with efficient components that help the ignition produce more power while drawing less current! In fact, the new Digital 6A delivers over 530 volts to the coil with up to 135mJ of spark energy for every firing! Increased output combined with MSD’s proven multiple spark series is a win-win situation!
The new Digital 6A are supplied with the wiring harness and the components you’ll need for installation. The 6AL is also supplied with vibration mounts. Both ignitions are compatible on 4, 6 or 8-cylinder engines with 12-volt, negative ground electrical systems. They’ll accept trigger inputs from breaker points, amplifiers and magnetic pickups.
Pro-Billet Distributor - Part #8456
When you start making serious power with your EFI Ford, the stock distributor shaft is one of the weak links of the engine. These Pro-Billet models answer the need for an affordable replacement in a strong and great looking package. Each distributor starts as a solid billet that is secured into a state-of-the art Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine where it is transformed into a precision housing. Inside each housing there is a sealed ball bearing at the top of the shaft. This design is responsible for accurately guiding the oversized polished steel shaft throughout the entire rpm range of your engine. The shaft is also QPQ-coated for friction reduction and corrosion resistance. The Pro-Billet Distributors use a stock-style trigger pick-up to accept factory connectors. For installation, you simply remove the stock distributor and bolt the Pro-Billet MSD in place! Each model is supplied with a high-quality cap with brass terminals for full spark delivery, heavy-duty rotor and a special gear to work with roller cams.
8.5mm Super Conductor Wire Set - Part #31329
The MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Wire is "the" performance wire. Engineered from the inside out, the 8.5 offers everything you have ever wanted in a wire; incredibly low resistance without electronic interference! In a single 12" length of Super Conductor Wire there is only 40 - 50 ohms of resistance! That is the lowest resistance of any helically wound wire. To accomplish this, MSD uses a copper alloy conductor due to it's great voltage carrying capabilities. The low resistance results in less loss in spark energy so more reaches the spark plug. The conductor is wound extremely tight around a special center core. So tight in fact, that there is over 40 feet of conductor wrapped into a single foot of plug wire. This winding procedure, combined with a ferro-magnetic impregnated center core, produces an extremely effective Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) "choke". This choke, or suppression capability, keeps the EMI inside the wire where it cannot interfere with other electronics on your vehicle. The outer sleeve that surrounds the conductor assembly is just as impressive. A proprietary blend of silicone and synthetic material produce a sleeve that is highly resistant to high heat as well as abrasion and tears. These wires have a straight end (bendable to 45 degrees) at the spark plug. A coil wire is included as well.
Blaster TFI Performance Ignition Coil Part - #8227
Top off your Ford Ignition system with these great new replacement coils. The Blaster TFI Coils have MSD performance in factory style housings! MSD designed these Coils by combining their Blaster Coil experience with E-core coil efficiency. Each coil has a unique turns ratio plus there is lower primary resistance than the stock coil. This all amounts to a bolt-in replacement coil that produces more output voltage. 44,000 volts to be exact! The Coils will work with stock ignition systems as well as MSD equipped cars and trucks.
Ford TFI Wiring Harness - Part #8874
MSD offers these wiring harnesses to simplify the installation of a MSD 6 series box on late model vehicles. The harnesses plug in between the ignition coil and the factory coil connector. Four wires with corresponding colors and matching connectors then connect directly to the MSD 6 wires. These harnesses reduce the installation time, reduce or eliminate cut wires, and allow you to quickly convert back to the factory ignition.
